Events volunteers will support library staff to deliver events and activities in libraries for both adults and children, for example Harry Potter Night, author visits etc.

We require events volunteers to be a minimum of 16 years old.

Your time commitment will be:

  • volunteer hours will vary depending on your availability and the events/activities being delivered in your local library

Your involvement will be:

  • Supporting the library staff to plan and deliver library events
  • Helping with setting up, greeting customers, collecting tickets, selling merchandise and clearing away the area or room used in the library
  • recording attendance at events/issue event evaluation forms
  • serving refreshments at events and other social activities
  • liaising with library staff regarding health and safety and housekeeping requirements

  • being reliable and responsible
